Question, correction or a coverage rate that does not match your can? Send a message, we read every one.
Want to know who reads these? See the authors page.
The most useful messages we get are about a specific number: a paint calculator that came back with more gallons than the can label suggests, a tile count that does not match what showed up at the register, or a cost range in a guide that is out of step with a quote you just got. If that is why you are writing, include the calculator or page, the numbers you entered, the result you saw, and the figure you expected instead. With those details we can usually re-run the math the same day and either correct the page or explain the gap, which is often a waste factor the tool already accounts for.
Coverage rates and material yields are sourced on the editorial standards page. If a manufacturer has updated a coverage figure or a cost range has clearly moved since we last checked, point us at where you saw it and we will update the number and note the date.
Typical reply time is one to two business days. We cannot price your specific job or confirm your subfloor, permit, or structural situation, that call belongs to your contractor or local building department.
